Business Intelligence & Analytics blends data management with cutting-edge analytics. Students will learn the latest techniques and tools that are vital in our ever growing data-driven world.

Program Requirements

Students must be accepted into the Master of Science in Information Systems at MTSU. The degree includes a total of 10 courses (not including prerequisites): 4 required courses, 3 concentration courses, and 3 information systems electives. 

Required Courses

  • INFS 6710 - IT Systems Dev. Project Management
  • INFS 6790 - Seminar in Database Management
  • INFS 6980 - Information Systems Practicum
  • BIA 6905 - Applied Business Analytics

Concentration Courses

  • BIA 6910 - Business Intelligence
  • BIA 6920 - Data Mining and Predictive Analytics 
  • INFS 6810 - Big Data for Analytics

Elective Courses

  • Three hours of approved INFS at the 6000 level
  • Six hours of approved INFS at the 5000 or 6000 level
