What is LiveText?
LiveText is an online e-portfolio and assessment system that the College of Education will use to gather data about student learning to maintain accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) as required of all teacher education programs by the State of Tennessee. The College of Education uses the data to continuously improve the quality of its programs.
LiveText provides students with a secure method for submitting and tracking performance, preparing and sharing customized electronic portfolios with classmates, instructors and potential employers, and access to digital resources.
Who purchases LiveText?
All students in an initial licensure or advanced program for preparation of school personnel, upon being admitted to the Teacher Education program are required to purchase the LiveText Student Membership Field Experience Edition.
How do I purchase/register?
Students may purchase a 5-year LiveText Field Experience Edition Student Membership for $133.00 at the MTSU Phillips Bookstore. Students may also purchase from other bookstores selling LiveText Field Experience Edition Student Memberships, or from LiveText (click Buy, top-right corner). Make sure you purchase the Field Experience Edition.
