Biography

Dale Brown, Chief Technical Engineer for the Department of recording Industry, earned his Associate of Engineering in Electronic Engineering Technology from Nashville State Technical Institute and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University. Dale Brown, Chief Technical Engineer for the Department of recording Industry, earned his Associate of Engineering in Electronic Engineering Technology from Nashville State Technical Institute and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University. He was an instructor at ITT Technical Institute, where he taught analog and digital electronics and mathematics. Prior to that, he ran dB Services, his own audio maintenance and installation company. As a technician at Harrison Systems, he worked in quality control and engineering, assisting in the development of audio consoles and automation systems.

As a freelance engineer, Dale has worked on projects for Steve Earle, Lionel Cartwright, Keith Stegall, and Doby Gray. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computer Science Honorary, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He oversees the installation, maintenance, and technical services for the Recording Industry facilities, and teaches applied Digital Audio.
