Prior to coming to MTSU, Gloria was a Music Agent at the William Morris Agency (WMA) where she negotiated tours and concert bookings for a diverse roster of faith-based artists including Cece Winans, Israel Houghton, Jaci Velasquez, Joy Williams, Kirk Franklin, Kutless, Mary Mary, Newsboys, Salvador, Switchfoot, Take 6, and many others. She also worked with comedians Brad Stine, Chonda Pierce, and John Morgan, and booked specialty tours including the Thou Shalt Laugh comedy tour, and To Write Love on Her Arms college tour.
After leaving WMA, Gloria launched her own faith-based entertainment company offering artist development, consulting, and public relations services. Her first PR client signing was three-time Olympic gold medalist and WNBA All-Star Tamika Catchings. In addition to consulting clients, Gloria also worked with Author/Speaker Stephanie Huffman, Christian worship leader Jared Anderson, sister vocal group True Emotion, Urban Gospel music artist Michelle Bonilla, and Christian Latin Singer/Speaker Emille Victoria, who she co-founded the P.I.N.K. girl’s teen conference.
Gloria earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Carolina (USC), where she interned in the Sports Information Office, working with both the football and basketball programs. As a Graduate student, she also worked part-time as an assistant to the press secretary in the state’s Lieutenant Governor’s office.
After graduating from USC, Gloria was a Writer for the SC Forestry Commission before becoming the Public Information Officer for SC State Parks.
Gloria remains actively involved in the music industry, continuing to run her company, Gloria Green Entertainment, on a part-time basis. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Gospel Music Association Foundation Board (GMAF) and the GMA Dove Awards Screening committee, and is a member of the Women in Music Business Association (WMBA) and the International Entertainment Buyer’s Association (IEBA).
When Gloria’s not teaching or working with her clients, she loves creative writing and blogging.
