Biography

Lara Daniel earned a B.S. and M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University and a J.D. from the University of Tennessee. She has been licensed to practice law in Tennessee since 1983. She is a professor of Business Law.  She served from 2013 to 2017 as the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Assurance of Learning in the Jones College of Business. Lara Daniel earned a B.S. and M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University and a J.D. from the University of Tennessee. She has been licensed to practice law in Tennessee since 1983. She is a professor of Business Law.  She served from 2013 to 2017 as the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Assurance of Learning in the Jones College of Business. She teaches Legal Environment of Business, Real Property Law, and Commercial Law. Ms. Daniel is a member of the faculty of both the Honors College and the College of Graduate Studies. She is on the Leadership Team for MTSU's Quality Enhancement Project, MT Engage.  She is also on the MTSU Honors Council and is faculty advisor to Rotaract of MTSU.  She is Immediate Past President of the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club, President of the MBRC Foundation, Co-President of the League of Women Voters of Murfreesboro/Rutherford County, and on the board of Discovery Center at Murfree Spring.  She is a founding member of the Middle Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women and presently serves as a Director of that organization. She previously served as a Trustee for the MTSU Foundation.
