The MTSU College of Graduate Studies gives students a vast array of academic offerings, with more than 100 programs of study from which to choose. From short-term-study certificate programs to doctoral degrees, MTSU has something for almost everyone. Niche programs in recording arts and technologies, aviation administration, and public history attract top scholars from around the world. The University routinely hosts students who participate in renowned programs such as the Fulbright and Muskie Fellowships. We are a leader in graduate education in Tennessee.

Events and Announcements 


  • 6/4: Last day to file intent-to-graduate forms for August 2016 graduation
  • 6/24: Last day for filing theses and dissertations for August 2016 graduation. Those submitted after this date will not be eligible for August 2016 graduation without an extension. Extensions will be granted only through a graduate advisor request.  Requests made by students will not be approved.
  • 7/4: Independence Day Holiday - NO CLASSES
  • 7/22: Last day to submit late summer Theses/Dissertations with Graduate Studies permission. 
    Students with an approved extension who submit by this date will not be allowed to graduate in August 2016 but will be eligible for December 2016 graduation.  Students who submit by this date will not be required to register for a thesis/dissertation hour in Fall 2016.  Students submitting after this date must continue to register until completion.
