Archival Management Certificate (Currently Not Accepting New Students)

The certificate of advanced study in Archival Management seeks to provide students with the opportunity to pursue advanced study in order to prepare for careers in archives, libraries, repositories, museums, and special collections. The certificate also provides a transitional bridge to the Ph.D. program in Public History. The graduate certificate in Archival Management provides an opportunity for students to take highly specialized courses through the Archival Education Collaborative (AEC), which includes MTSU, Indiana University, Auburn University, the University of Wisconsin, and Louisiana State University. Admission Requirements:

To be admitted to the Certificate in Archival Management program, a student must submit the following to the College of Graduate Studies:

  • Online application and appropriate application fee
  • Official transcript of all colleges, universities (including business and technical schools). If the transcripts are issued from an international (non-US) institution, a course-by course analysis is required. Original non-US transcripts should be submitted directly to the evaluation service.   • Official Test Scores of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
  • Earned master's degree from an accredited university or college or current enrollment in a master's degree program
