Come to the Telecom Training Center (1st floor of TCM building) to practice the elements of accessible design in online courses. You will be added to a D2L practice shell where you can edit inaccessible documents to learn how to address the files in your courses. The presentation portion of the workshop will show how to spot and fix accessibility issues, and the practice portion will allow time for you to address the same issues in your practice shell. If you get back to your office after the workshop and can’t remember how to access the practice shell, much less apply some of the accessibility fixes, you can always contact the Instructional Accessibility Specialist, Bill Burgess, at William.burgess@mtsu.edu or 615-904-8445.
