How can faculty promote academic engagement among their students? High impact teaching practices support engaged learning in several ways: they require purposeful effort, foster relationships with faculty and peers, and provide opportunities to apply and reflect on learning. In this panel discussion, MT Engage faculty will discuss how they use high impact practices such as experiential learning, civic learning, diversity and global learning, flipped instruction, common intellectual experiences, learning communities, and writing intensive and capstone courses.
