Brennan Webb's men's golf squad listed eight on the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, announced in April, and James Beckner, Connor Slane and Chip Thomas all earned C-USA Academic Medals. In addition, Slane and Joey Savoie were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for their stellar GPA.
The golfers excelled in the classroom with a 3.473 GPA as a team over the past two semesters. Webb's team returns all but three from last year's team and will add freshman Ryan Hines to the mix.
The men's tennis team, led by head coach Jimmy Borendame, posted a 3.627 GPA in the last academic year. Seven out of the eight Blue Raiders on the 2017-18 squad earned a spot on the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, with five netters also claiming a C-USA Academic Medal.
Recently, Miguel Negre Fernandez, Gonzalo Morell Raschiatore, Luis Morillo Diaz, Tom Moonen and Max Rauch were all named ITA Scholar Athletes, and the tennis team received ITA All-Academic Team honors. Negre and Morillo were also named to the six-man C-USA Men's Tennis All-Academic team in April.
