Do I need a ticket?

Yes! The show is ticketed; however, students can begin to pick up free tickets at the Athletic Ticket Office (located on Faulkinberry at Gate 1-A of the football stadium) on Monday, March 5th. The ticket office will be open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is closed on weekends. All tickets must be picked up between these hours. Student advanced tickets will continue through Friday, March 23th. Students will be able pick up one guest ticket per ID.

Beginning Monday, March 26th, any remaining tickets will open to faculty, staff, and alumni, while still remaining available for students. There is no guarantee tickets will be available by this point for faculty, staff, and alumni, as students have first priority. Faculty/staff will be required to show a valid MTSU ID, and Alumni will need to contact MT Alumni in order to request a time to pick up ticket from their office. Alumni must pick up a ticket by April 4th; no alumni tickets will be available the day of the show. A ticket guarantees you entry to the show, but it does not guarantee any specific seating. This event is general admission; arrive early for the best seat/floor space.

The Signature Event concert is presented for and funded by MTSU students.  While one guest is permitted when escorted by a MTSU student, the concert is intended for mature audiences and may not be suitable for non-college aged students.

ALL MTSU STUDENT/FACULTY/STAFF WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW THEIR UNIVERSITY ID TO ENTER THE SHOW. DO NOT FORGET YOUR ID! Alumni tickets will indicate that they are alumni tickets separate from the MTSU student/faculty/staff allotment. Tickets are not available to the general public and should not be sold by any of the above parties.

Any student/faculty/staff attempting to bring more than 1 guest with their ID are subject to have their ticket, and their guests' tickets, revoked and be barred from entering.

Floor spots are limited for the show, so arrive early! Only 400 people will be able to be on the floor. Staff reserves the right to restrict the general admission floor to MTSU Students Only.

Are guests allowed?

Each patron will be allowed to get one (1) guest ticket. Students may get their ticket plus guest beginning Monday, March 5th. You must bring your active student ID to the Athletic Ticket Office to pick-up a guest ticket; guests will not be able to get their own. This policy will be strictly enforced, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may cause for students wishing to bring guests. However, we want to make sure that every student has an opportunity to attend, and every guest allowed without an I.D. reduces student capacity.

What time does the show start?

Doors at Murphy Center open at 6:30 p.m. Performances will begin at 8:00 p.m., starting with the student opening act to be followed by our co-headliners. For those coming from classes, please remember bags are NOT allowed (including backpacks) and seating is first-come, first-served when doors open.

What gate do I need to go to for entry?

The doors located on the Northeast side of the complex (Greenland Drive parking lot) will be open for admission. Tickets will also be available at the ticket office by these doors. Entrants coming from the south side of the complex will need to follow the outdoor concourse to the north side of the venue.

Where do I park for this event?

Parking will not be modified for this event. Standard regulations apply.

The Short Explantion: If you park before 6:30 p.m., you will need a permit/guest pass. If you park after 6:30 p.m., you will not need either.

The Long Explanation: Before 6:30 p.m., all parking permits are required to park in their assigned areas (map of parking by permit), and off-campus guests will need to purchase and print a guest parking permit for $2 through the Parking Services website. After 6:30 p.m., anyone may park in any lot on campus for free without a permit or restriction other than handicapped, maintenance, and other marked reserved spaces.

The information says no bags allowed. Does this include purses and/or backpacks?

All bags are prohibited and include, but are not limited to, purses, backpacks, gym bags, computer cases, satchels, messenger bags, tote bags, etc.

Can I bring a camera/take photographs?

Flash photography will not be allowed at this event without a media pass as given by the Signature Event Committee advisors. While cell phones are not prohibited as a safety precaution, patrons are urged to keep their phones on vibrate and tucked away during the show. Please be considerate: other students would rather see the show live than through your cell phone screen!

Will alcoholic beverages be permitted?

MTSU is a dry campus, and alcoholic beverages will NOT be permitted to this show in any capacity.

What other items are prohibited?

In addition to cameras, alcohol, and bags being prohibited (above), the following items are not allowed in Murphy Center: bottles, cans, food, coolers, video camera tripods, laser pointers, artificial noise makers, umbrellas, flag poles, backpacks, shoe-bags, fireworks, weapons or other dangerous devices. Patrons found in possession of any restricted items may be subject to expulsion from the facility and the restricted items confiscated.

Will media be allowed?

Media may be allowed and can request a media pass by contacting us. All passes are subject to the approval of the committee advisors. Certain time limitations to photography/back stage access may apply. If you are interested in interviewing the artist, please contact us for more information at least two weeks before the show date. Interview requests may not be possible due to the performer's busy schedule, but we will attempt to set up interviews with verified media contacts if possible.
