Paul Martin has over 40 years’ experience in the financial field including the application of relevant legal principals in both corporate and charitable environments. He has been involved intimately with seven public companies as either Chairman of the Board, Director, or initial investor. He is broadly experienced in global business activities including mergers and acquisitions and is a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is the principal of Clarity Resources LLC, a Tennessee corporation that supervises foreign investments for individual trusts and occasionally exports naturally sourced, wild harvested medicinal herbs to the Asian market. He supports MTSU’s international efforts financially and with personal involvement in its effort to build stronger ties with educational institutions in the Peoples Republic of China.

To build better communities, he founded Rotary’s Kentucky Gift of Life, which for 10 years addressed congenital heart defects in children from around the globe, was an original incorporator, past president and is a current Board member of the Florida Holocaust Museum, serves on the Board of the Community Foundation of Rutherford County, the MTSU Honor’s College, and is Board Emeritus at the NC State Shelton Leadership Center.

He previously served as a Trustee of the Tall Ship Bounty Foundation, served as the Tennessee Public Member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and has also served on numerous board positions including The Florida Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, the Bayfront Medical Center and the Science Center of Pinellas County.

He resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his life partner and daughter.
