D2L Crosslisting Request

This form is to be used for requesting that 2 or more D2L course sections be combined (merged) into a single offering designated as the "Parent" course. Course merging is a difficult process to undo so accuracy in this form is very important to us.

 Please read carefully:

Once complete, there will only be one course listed within D2L which will hold the "Parent" course name and material. All material and any student work in the "Child" courses will be completely removed during the merging process which is why we typically will not merge courses after the semester has begun.

All work and preparations prior to the term must be done within what will become the "Parent" course since all material within the other "Child" courses will be deleted during the merge process. REALIZE: This will not bring all materials into one course - it only keeps the "Parent" Course materials. (We can't say this enough.)

Call us if you are not certain about anything related to this merging of courses within D2L (x8189).

Take your time filling out this form so that it is complete and accurate.

Typical timeframe to make the request: We prefer to get these requests about 1-2 weeks prior to the term since instructors are often adjusted as the semester nears. Undoing a D2L Crosslisting is very difficult and material will be lost for good from the "Child" courses. We expect the instructor of all the courses listed below to be the same person. Use the Notes section below to describe anything to us that may matter with this merge especially if you are requesting this outside of the typical timeframe.

All material within the Parent course will be kept. This will be the new course name that all the students will see after the merge.
