Professional Development Funding

The Career Development Center administers the MTSU Cooperative Education Scholarship. This fund provides financial assistance (up to $2500) for undergraduate students participating in opportunities that will benefit the student’s career goals and help develop core career competencies as described by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). This funding is available only for undergraduate students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at MTSU.

Preference will be given to students:

-who have been offered an upcoming unpaid internship and/or experiential learning opportunity and need financial assistance to participate.

-who have an upcoming professional development opportunity (conference, etc.) and require a stipend to participate.

At the conclusion of your experience, you are required to give a 7-10-minute presentation OR write a 500-800 word essay describing how this experience helped you develop 2 or more of the 8 NACE career competencies.
