Terry Whiteside, PhD is dean of the College of Behavioral and Health Sciences, and has been a “man about campus” for no less than 43 years. Whiteside started his college career at the University of Florida. He holds a position as the first dean of the College of Behavioral and Health Sciences and is also the faculty-athletic representative at MTSU.
Donald P. Roy, PhD is a marketing professor at MTSU, a personal brand builder, and a blogger. He earned his MBA from Mississippi College and his PhD in Business administration from The University of Memphis. In 2012 he was included on a list of 50 business school professors to follow on Twitter by MBAprograms.org.
John Floyd is the founder and owner of Ole South Properties, the state’s largest independent homebuilder. Mr. Floyd has pledged $1 million to help launch the Center for Student Coaching and Success at MTSU. His professional accolades include being named Tennessee Home Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Tennessee in 2007 and inducted in the HBAT Hall of Fame in 2015. He was recognized by the Tennessee Housing and Development Agency as the “Builder of the Year” for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce honored him as the Business Legend of the Year in 2015.
Bill Fletcher is the director of the Career Development Center at MTSU. He provides strategic direction and leadership for a centralized career center serving over 20,000 students and seven colleges. He also represents the University to employers, parents, faculty, staff, community organizations, and news and media outlets in career related endeavors.
Shawn Hackinson is the owner of The Alley on Main located on Main Street in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Using family recipes passed down from older generations, Shawn has created a unique Italian-inspired menu to serve the people of Murfreesboro. As a young man in Donora, Pennsylvania, Hackinson said he got his first taste of the restaurant business at 14 years old when he got a job as a waiter at a fine dining restaurant in Pittsburgh.
Nate Schott, DDS since 1992, has managed a staff who have been practicing comfortable & affordable dentistry focused on establishing optimal health with a strong emphasis on getting to know each patient. He received his DDS degree in Dentistry from The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and is the owner of Murfreesboro Dental Excellence.
Anthony Dudley is the Senior Director of Development at Nashville Sports Council/ Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl. He holds a Master of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Leisure and Sport Management and a B.A. in English from Florida State University.
Colby Jubenville, PhD is an accomplished author, international speaker, professor, business advisor, entrepreneur and inventor. He holds an academic appointment at Middle Tennessee State University as Special Assistant to the Dean for Student Success and Strategic Partnerships in the College of Behavioral and Health Sciences.
Teresa Johnson As an entrepreneur, business owner, and mother, Teresa Johnson loves both challenges and opportunities. While completing her B.S. in political science and M.S. in organizational management, she worked as a paralegal for 10 years before beginning her metal fabrication and manufacturing career in 1994 building caskets (of all things!). In this role, she became a certified continuous improvement and lean manufacturing trainer, as well as the company's human resources director. In 2000, Johnson moved into the fiberglass bass boat manufacturing industry, where she became the marketing director and as such was responsible for a $6 million annual budget that covered the marketing of two bass boat companies and encompassed all advertising, show/event displays, advertising through the professional fishing circuit, and in-house production of all sales/marketing collateral. Today she is the owner of 9 companies including the COO and co-founder of Phoenix Bass Boats located in Winchester, TN.
Brian Shulman is an entrepreneur and investor and has been a friend to MTSU for over a decade. With years of experience in healthcare and education industries and founder of the Stride educational game-based platform, Brian continues to bring valuable insight to higher education including his time, energy and resources.
Hillari Smithson is a Business Development Officer with Ascend Federal Credit Union. In this role, she fosters relationships with key strategic companies and organizations by engaging in community service and promoting financial literacy. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2016 with her bachelors degree in Finance.
