What is New to Blue Orientation?

New to Blue Orientation helps new undergraduate students make the transition into the university; prepares new students for MTSU’s educational opportunities; and initiates the integration of new students into the intellectual, cultural, and social climate of the institution. In a nutshell, New to Blue Orientation shows new students the ropes on being a student at MTSU. 

How do I sign up for New to Blue Orientation?

Freshman and Transfer Students Admitted for Fall 2025

Registration for New to Blue Orientation will be available in mid-March.

How is New to Blue Orientation Structured?

Two required components for Orientation:

1. Pre-Orientation – These are REQUIRED Information Modules that must be completed PRIOR to your Orientation date.
2. Academic Advising and course registration

New to Blue Orientation is designed a little differently for each type of new student. Please select your classification on the top menu bar to begin your journey!   

Orientation will give you vital information about the University and the many resources that you will use as a student. This orientation is required to be completed before you can be advised and register for your courses.
