In promoting a safe and positive learning and working environment, MTSU strives to ensure that the rights of all members of its campus community are respected. Should any member of the campus community experience or witness an incident of discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment, MTSU encourages members of its campus community to file the appropriate complaint so that the university can properly address and remedy the situation.

MTSU makes available a variety of resources and avenues for reporting incidents and submitting formal complaints. Federal and state laws, as well as MTSU institutional policies, strictly prohibit anyone from retaliating against individuals because they complained about discrimination or harassment, or requested an accommodation.
