Professor of English and Honors Associate Dean Philip E. Phillips was invited to organize a roundtable, “Poe Spaces, Places, and Spheres of Influence,” comprised of contributors to his forthcoming edited collection, Poe Spaces, in Toledo, Spain. As the president of the Poe Studies Association (PSA), Dr. Phillips had the honor of recognizing the founder and president of the Edgar Allan Poe Spanish Association (EAPSA) with the Honorary Membership Award, the PSA’s highest honor, which recognizes significant and sustained contributions to Poe studies and to the PSA. These events were part of the Third International Congress: “Poe and the Pleasures of Art” sponsored by the EAPSA at the Facultad de Humanidades in Albacete (October 4th and 5th) and the Library of Castilla-La Mancha, Toledo (October 6th) in 2023.
