Biography

Amelia Bozeman serves as a faculty lecturer in the MTSU Department of Management's Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program. In addition, she is the coordinator of the Department of Management Applied Experience Program.

Prior to joining the faculty, Bozeman served as the director of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center at MTSU, which provides strategic services to businesses at all stages of development across a 14-county area in southern Middle Tennessee.

A problem solver with a proven track record in strategic leadership, marketing, fundraising, and financial management, Bozeman helped businesses and organizations stand out, improve efficiency, manage costs, and increase impact through her consulting businesses, working with organizations and individual clients in both the for-profit private sector and the not-for-profit sector, as well as in government, before joining the TSBDC.

Prior to her second consulting business, she served as executive director of a nonprofit organization, where she executed a turnaround that resulted in new and improved programs, successful new events, increased revenue streams, and greater community impact.

Bozeman earned her master’s degree in management with a concentration in organizational leadership from Middle Tennessee State University and her bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University. Her past board service includes multiple organizations in the professional development, human needs and services, education, healthcare, and special needs communities, including serving as the leader of two boards. She currently serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
