Amy L. Sayward is a Professor of History at Middle Tennessee State University and the executive director of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations (SHAFR).  She is the author/editor of five books on the United Nations, Tennessee history, and contemporary U.S. history.  She is currently working to combine these interests into a new monograph that examines the impact of the Cold War on Tennessee.  She teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in her areas of expertise.
