Dr. Lancaster wishes to continue her work with women and menopause education as well as her recent interest regarding anxiety and nursing students. She recently achieved the status of “Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider.” Dr. Lancaster writes for her hometown newspaper, The Sparta Expositor, in a monthly article about a health or wellness issue. Dr. Lancaster joined MTSU in 2015 where she teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Dr. Lancaster considers teaching to be her calling and she is honored to be able to serve not only her students but the patients she continues to see. She was a recipient of the Governor’s Tennessee Leadership White County award in 2012. Barbara, a Florida native, resides in Sparta, TN with her husband and their canine/feline menagerie!
