Prior to joining MTSU, he held postdoctoral research positions at Columbia University and Michigan State University. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia, and his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Mathematics from National Taiwan University.
His research lies at the intersection of applied mathematics, partial differential equations, fluid dynamics, and data-driven modeling. His work focuses on mathematical problems arising in fluid mechanics, biology, and physics, including free-boundary problems in bubble dynamics, Navier–Stokes and Stokes systems, chemotaxis–fluid models, and data-driven methods for learning stochastic governing laws.
