Biography
Daniel Rowland is an LA/Vegas-based music producer/engineer, tech executive, and educator. He holds a B.S and M.F.A. in Music Technology, and is currently Head of Strategy and Partnerships at AI music production platform LANDR, co-founder of browser-based DAW Audiotool, and longtime instructor at MTSU. For nearly a decade, his primary focus has been on the empowerment of music creators via ethical AI-driven tools and accessible design, sharing that message on dozens of panels and podcasts.

Daniel has helped grow LANDR to 5 million users, refining their industry-leading creator tools platform, AI mastering engine, plugins and services, while crafting acquisition and partnerships deals with a wide range of startups and iconic brands/artists. And with Audiotool to bring an inclusive, browser-based music production environment to millions of users, while uniting the worlds of gaming and music.
He was ranked as one of the top 40 mastering engineers in the world by Jaxsta, based upon streaming numbers and credits.
Most recently, Daniel co-founded Immersive Mixers with film mixer Matt Guiler, focusing on mixing music in Dolby Atmos.
Daniel regularly speaks on the present and future of music technology at conferences such as SXSW, MONDO, A3E, NAMM, A3C, and the ASCAP Expo, and is a voting member of the Recording Academy.
Research / Scholarly Activity
Head of Strategy for LANDR, a disruptive, innovative AI company focusing on music production tools. 130 employees and over 5 million registered users. Have contributed R&D to numerous software products related to music production, including plugins, remote collaboration tools, AI mastering, distribution, and samples.
