Biography
Eric Jackson is an Assistant Professor of Media Design. He earned his MFA from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, and his BFA from Middle Tennessee State University. He returns to MTSU from Tennessee State University, where he spearheaded the Graphic Design area within the Department of Art & Design, and from Nossi College of Art, where he served as a Design Instructor.

Read More »Eric Jackson is an Assistant Professor of Media Design. He earned his MFA from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, and his BFA from Middle Tennessee State University. He returns to MTSU from Tennessee State University, where he spearheaded the Graphic Design area within the Department of Art & Design, and from Nossi College of Art, where he served as a Design Instructor.
A creative leader and conceptual visionary, Eric combines artistic insight with technical expertise to ensure work that is consistently of the highest quality. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a diverse range of clients in general and higher education, non-profits, religious organizations, government agencies, and as a brand consultant for several schools within Metro Nashville Public Schools.
As a dedicated educator, Eric prioritizes critical thinking and innovation both inside and outside the classroom. He fosters a learning environment where students are empowered to explore their unique voices while mastering traditional and digital design tools—developing into aesthetically compelling and strategically minded problem solvers.
Eric is an active member of UCDA (University & Colleges Design Association), AIGA (American Institute for Graphic Arts – Nashville Chapter), Kappa Pi International Art Honor Society, CAA (College Art Association), Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee.
