Biography

Gabe Clemons is an adjunct professor currently pursuing his Doctorate in Media and Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He previously attended Middle Tennessee State University where he obtained a Master’s degree (MS) in Media and Communication and a Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Textiles, Merchandising, and Design.

Gabe Clemons is an adjunct professor currently pursuing his Doctorate in Media and Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He previously attended Middle Tennessee State University where he obtained a Master’s degree (MS) in Media and Communication and a Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Textiles, Merchandising, and Design.

His work explores media history and the societal commodification of celebrity in Western culture. He examines how media has evolved and changed over the 20th and 21st centuries. Additionally, his work examines the lasting influence media has on our culture.

In addition to his work as an adjunct professor at Middle Tennessee State University, he currently works as a research assistant in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
