As an adjunct at MTSU, Ian Mannino has the pleasure of introducing students to the vast opportunities the piano provides. Having studied under accomplished pianists Bruce Dudley, Anthony Belfiglio, and Daniel Landes—also apprenticing under award-winning film composer Michael Whittaker—Ian continues to expand his musical career as a touring/session pianist, producer, and composer. He has studied a myriad of musical styles, with a focus on country, pop, rock, jazz, film score, and musical theater.
When not in the classroom, you can find Ian on the road playing keys for Isaac Cole, Chris Turner, or The Faster Horses. His experience playing live has allowed him to open for acts such as Sammy Kershaw, Trace Adkins, Lady A, Craig Morgan, Randy Houser, and Rhett Adkins—while also getting to play with newer acts like Dasha and GAYLE.
When not touring, Ian composes in his home studio, teaches private lessons, Music Directs at the Larry Keeton Theater in Nashville, and is the staff accompanist at his church.
Ian holds a BM in Commercial Music from Belmont University (2019) and currently teaches RIM 3116 Songwriting Instrumentation: Piano and RIM 4810 Topics in Recording Industry: Piano Workshop 2.
