Ricky brings over two decades of experience in B2B sales and marketing to the classroom. His classes are structured to integrate industry experience into the classroom. Read More »Ricky brings over two decades of experience in B2B sales and marketing to the classroom. His classes are structured to integrate industry experience into the classroom. He believes higher education is about going beyond content mastery. To become engaged members of society, he believes students need to understand the facts presented in books and lectures, as well as the questions they should ask based on that information. Beyond the classroom, he works closely with students in the Center for Professional Selling, coaching them in preparation for intercollegiate sales competitions each semester. Student participation in these events offers the opportunity to gain experience that cannot be duplicated in the classroom and allows the students to grow in confidence and skill by competing against the best students from other top-flight sales programs. He also serves as the faculty advisor for the Society for Professional Selling, a student-led organization focused on the professional development and growth of our marketing and sales students.
When he is not teaching, he enjoys playing guitar, playing golf, and traveling with his wife.
