Biography

Jack Badger is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Middle Tennessee State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Tennessee and her Bachelor of Accountancy with a minor in Finance from the University of Mississippi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in North Carolina. Jack Badger is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Middle Tennessee State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Tennessee and her Bachelor of Accountancy with a minor in Finance from the University of Mississippi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in North Carolina. His research focuses on how tax intersects with a variety of topics including financial reporting, disclosure, sports, and gambling policy. His work has been published in the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy and Public Finance Review.

Before academia, he worked as a valuation consultant at Dixon Hughes Goodman in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and an experienced tax associate at PwC in Charlotte, North Carolina.
