Biography
Jamie Teachenor is an award-winning, multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and producer who has written songs for and recorded with major artists such as Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Trisha Yearwood, Joey + Rory, Gretchen Wilson, Vince Gill, Warrant, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and rock-n-roll legend, Jerry Lee Lewis. Read More »Jamie Teachenor is an award-winning, multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and producer who has written songs for and recorded with major artists such as Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Trisha Yearwood, Joey + Rory, Gretchen Wilson, Vince Gill, Warrant, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and rock-n-roll legend, Jerry Lee Lewis. Teachenor found his place in American military history when he composed Semper Supra, the official anthem for the sixth and newest branch of our Armed Forces, the United States Space Force (adopted September 2022).
Teachenor has appeared on ABC's Good Morning America, the CBS Early Show, Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends, CNN, MSNBC, and WSM's Grand Ole Opry. He has been featured in, Billboard, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, USA Today, Country Weekly, MTV, CMT, and VH1; and his songs have been in multiple movies and books, including "Chicken Soup for the Soul," Country Music Edition (2013) and he was the featured artist in the 2013 Tennessee Vacation Guide.
Jamie has released multiple albums, EPs & singles, including: "Teachenor Clark’s "Never Gonna Stand For This" (2010); his debut album, "The Departure" (2012); "Waiting Room – EP" (2013)–charting in the US & UK; "Lo-Fi" "Lo-Fidelity" (2014)–producing 2 top 10 singles in the US & Europe–"Vintage Heart" (featuring Vince Gill) which was also a top 25 single in Japan, and "When You're Over Me"; "Suitcases" (2016); and his album with the Air Force Academy Band - Wild Blue Country, "Here We Are" (2016) and Wild Blue Country's debut radio single, "Here We Are" (2018). Jamie continues to work with the Department of Defense and Air Force Public Affairs. He assisted in editing the United States Air Force Service Anthem and the Air Force Academy's Alma Mater, has memorabilia on display in the International Rock-a-Billy Hall of Fame, the Clement Railroad Museum's "Heritage in Music" exhibit, and is spotlighted as a "Tennessee Iconic Musician" by the Southern Museum of Music.
Teachenor is the son of Rock-A-Billy Hall of Famer, Jim Teachenor and is married to best-selling author/novelist, Jen Teachenor. Jamie has been described by renowned Rolling Stone contributor & music editor, Larry Nager, as "The arrival of a strikingly original talent," and describing Teachenor's own piano-based version of Southern Indie Soul Rock, GreatIndieMusic.com states he is, “full of raw emotion and unrivaled conviction,” “Teachenor has truly been given a genre-less gift.”
