Jamie Teachenor is a multi-platinum singer/songwriter and United States Air Force Veteran with over two decades of success in the Nashville music industry. Read More »Jamie Teachenor is a multi-platinum singer/songwriter and United States Air Force Veteran with over two decades of success in the Nashville music industry. He has written songs for and recorded with major artists such as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Collin Raye, Trisha Yearwood, Joey + Rory, Blaine Larsen, Gretchen Wilson, Kenny G, Vince Gill, Warrant, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the National Symphony Orchestra, and rock-n-roll legend, Jerry Lee Lewis. Named a Tennessee Iconic Musician by the Southern Museum of Music, he was inducted into the Missouri Music Hall of Fame in 2024. Teachenor found his place in American military history when he composed Semper Supra, the official anthem for the sixth and newest branch of the U.S. Armed Forces - the United States Space Force (USSF).
Jamie has performed on ABC's Good Morning America, the CBS Early Show, Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends, CNN, MSNBC, and WSM’s Grand Ole Opry, and has been featured in Billboard, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, People Magazine, the Washington Post, and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Country Music Edition. He has released two solo albums and three as a band - fronting: Lo-Fi, Teachenor Clark, and the U.S. Air Force Academy Band - Wild Blue Country. While serving as the frontman for Wild Blue Country, he wrote, recorded, and produced Here We Are - the first charting album and single in the history of the U.S. military, and was part of the small team that edited the lyrics of the U.S. Air Force service song and the Air Force Academy’s Alma Mater.
In the Air Force, Teachenor worked with 27 allied nations, NASA, the Pentagon, NORAD, NORTHCOM, SPACECOM, STRATCOM, the FBI, the National Diet: The National Legislature of Japan, all branches of the military, and he sang our National Anthem for many televised NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, PBR, PRCA, Grand Prix and NCAA sporting events. He was awarded the Commendation Medal for saving the life of a fellow airman/trainee during his fifth week of Basic Military Training (BMT), and was selected as a Congressional Military Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives (2018) and the U.S. Senate (2019). In 2022, he was elected to the Sumner County Commission as a write-in candidate—the first in Tennessee history. Additionally, Jamie is the President of the Air & Space Forces Association - TN 230 chapter.
Teachenor holds a PHD (Liberty University) and an MBA (Troy University). His 2022 dissertation is titled, A Phenomenological Study of Trauma, Creativity, Resilience, and Artistic Inspiration. He is an author, TEDx Speaker - presenting his academic research, internationally, and co-host of the American Storytellers podcast. His upcoming book, Country Roots & Combat Boots, will be released in 2025. He serves as Adjunct Professor of Songwriting and Music Business (Honors Faculty) for the Department of Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
