Biography
Jeff Gibson is an Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts. He joined the faculty of Middle Tennessee State University in 2002 and previously served as Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance. He teaches courses specializing in arts management and theatre career seminars. Read More »Jeff Gibson is an Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts. He joined the faculty of Middle Tennessee State University in 2002 and previously served as Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance. He teaches courses specializing in arts management and theatre career seminars. He is a past president of the Southeastern Theatre Conference and is a past chair of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Region IV. Prior to MTSU, Jeff was Assistant to the President of Watkins College of Art & Design in Nashville, TN. Gibson also worked in the management department of the nationally acclaimed Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Before pursuing his graduate degree, he held the position of University Theatre Manager for MTSU from 1994-1999. He received his M.F.A. in Theatre Management/Arts Administration from the University of Alabama/Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery, AL.
