Dr. Jennifer Rayburn was born and raised in Columbia, Tennessee.  She graduated summa cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002 with a B.S. in Biology and minor in Chemistry.  The education she received at MTSU allowed her to attend medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where she graduated in 2007 with an M.D. degree.  She went on to complete her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Baptist Hospital program in Nashville, TN.  She is board certified in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.  She has practiced internal medicine in the Middle Tennessee area, most recently in Murfreesboro, for the past ten years where she also served in her clinic on various committees, as a former department chair of  IM/FM and as the NP/PA supervisor.   Dr. Rayburn is excited to return to her alma mater to join the new PA program and pursue her passion for medical education.
