Areas of Expertise

I am currently working on a research project funded by the MTSU Faculty Research and Creative Activity Committee on Constitutionalism in the European Union and on a modern republican account of the same sex marriage debate in the US. I am also working on an edited volume (with Cécile Laborde) on the republican theory of Philip Pettit.

Biography

I joined the Department of Political Science in August 2004. Before joining MTSU I taught at the University of Sheffield (UK), first in the Department of Politics and then in the Department of Philosophy. I have also worked at Oxford Brookes University (UK) and was a fellow of the Civic Education Project in the Faculty of Law, Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia.
