Areas of Expertise

My areas of expertise are nineteenth and twentieth century American History, Black History, the Civil War and Reconstruction, and the Civil Rights Movement.

Biography

I am originally a native of Atlanta, Georgia, but have lived in Murfreesboro for nine years. I have a Bachelor's degree in History, and a Master's degree in American History from Liberty University. I have a doctorate in Public History from Middle Tennessee State University. My research interests are Black History, specifically the Civil War and Reconstruction, and the Civil Rights Movement. Aside from teaching, my interests include reading, playing basketball and learning to play golf.
