Biography
Kehinde (Kenny) Ogunade is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at Middle Tennessee State University. Dr. Ogunade completed his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Memphis in the Summer 2024, earned a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from the University of New Mexico in July 2019, and obtained a B.S. in Accounting from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in November 2015. Read More »Kehinde (Kenny) Ogunade is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at Middle Tennessee State University. Dr. Ogunade completed his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Memphis in the Summer 2024, earned a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from the University of New Mexico in July 2019, and obtained a B.S. in Accounting from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in November 2015. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Ogunade worked as an audit intern at Jaramillo Accounting Group and as an accounting intern at the University of New Mexico Financial Aid Office. He is also a Certified Management Accountant. Dr. Ogunade has been honored with several awards, including the Graduate Research Assistantship from the Fogelman College of Business and Economics, the Crews School of Accountancy award, the Anderson School Hall of Fame Endowed Scholarship, the Anderson School of Management Scholarship from the University of New Mexico, and the New Mexico Society of CPAs Scholarship. His primary research investigates the impact of auditor diversity and characteristics on audit outcomes. His secondary research focuses on accounting information systems, fraud and corruption, and accounting education. He has published in reputable journals, including Accounting Horizons, Journal of Information Systems, Issues in Accounting Education, and the Journal of Financial Crime. Dr. Ogunade is an ad-hoc reviewer for journals including the Journal of International Accounting Research, Journal of Forensic Accounting Research, Managerial Auditing Journal, and the Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting.
