Kelly Puente is an award-winning investigative reporter at The Tennessean in Nashville. A Long Beach, California native, she has covered everything from crime and courts to education and breaking news, with reporting that has sparked policy changes at both the state and local levels. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from Cal State Long Beach. When she’s not on deadline, she's busy collecting tiki mugs or planning her next scuba diving trip.
