Biography
Dr. Phillips earned her bachelor degree at the University of Illinois in Kinesiology before pursuing a Master’s degree from Auburn University in Higher Education and Administration. Kristi obtained her PhD in Leisure Studies and is interested in how physical activity effects academic performance. Read More »Dr. Phillips earned her bachelor degree at the University of Illinois in Kinesiology before pursuing a Master’s degree from Auburn University in Higher Education and Administration. Kristi obtained her PhD in Leisure Studies and is interested in how physical activity effects academic performance. After gaining work experience in athletics for several years, she decided to take on a new challenge and began teaching 19 years ago. Since then she has served as the clinical coordinator and instructor for the AT program. Dr. Phillips resides in Murfreesboro with her husband, Jimmy, who is a physical therapist and athletic trainer. She is a mother of three children: Ella, Carly, and Carson. When she isn’t attending her children's multiple events, Kristi enjoys running, reading, and going to the beach.
