Biography
My research interests include francophone literature and film from Africa and its Diaspora with a particular focus on women writers and gender theory as well as questions of madness, identity, mother/daughter relationships, and representations of romantic love.
I am Dean for the College of Liberal Arts (CLA), a former CLA Associate Dean, and the former Director for the Master of Arts in Liberal Arts.

I have taught French language, literature, and film at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I also teach Contemporary African Literature and film and regularly offer a General Education literature course in the Humanities (HUM 2610) known as "Crazy Love".
