Biography
Marc Barr began the animation program at MTSU in 1992. He teaches the Introduction to Digital Animation and Compositing classes. He also teaches Applied Media Aesthetics and Visual Aesthetics and Technology in the RIM MFA program. He's a member of the Honors faculty and oversees the Honors College Visiting Artists Seminar.

He also teaches Applied Media Aesthetics and Visual Aesthetics and Technology in the RIM MFA program. He's a member of the Honors faculty and oversees the Honors College Visiting Artists Seminar.
He has been affiliated with ACM/SIGGRAPH since the early 90's and has served as their Director for Education, on multiple conference committees and as conference chair in 2015. He currently serves as a member of their Executive Committee and is the Chair of the Conference Advisory Group.
His personal interests include the integration of technology with traditional art processes and has exhibited his work regionally, nationally and internationally since 1974.
