Biography
Matt Manix is a broadcast and live sound engineer with over 25 years of experience in television, touring, and large-scale event production. Read More »Matt Manix is a broadcast and live sound engineer with over 25 years of experience in television, touring, and large-scale event production. His work includes broadcast mixing and audio production for major networks such as NBC, ABC, CBS, TNT, and CMT, with credits on Opry 100: A Live Celebration, People’s Choice Country Awards, and NBC’s Miley Cyrus Stand By You Special. As Audio Producer for the Copa América Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Matt oversaw all live broadcast audio, including Shakira’s halftime performance for an international audience of more than 12 million viewers. He has mixed live broadcast music performances for artists such as Mumford & Sons, The Jonas Brothers, The Black Keys, Jack White, Doechii, Chris Stapleton, Post Malone, and Benson Boone, and has multitrack-recorded live televised performances by Chappell Roan, Thomas Rhett, Dominic Fike, CeeLo Green, Chance the Rapper, and Jack Harlow, among others. Beyond his broadcast work, Matt has engineered high-profile corporate and global events for companies including Apple (WWDC), Disney (D23 Expo), Microsoft, and Oracle, delivering world-class production audio for live and streamed presentations. Throughout his career, Matt has worked on shows in more than 45 countries across six continents, bringing a global perspective to his teaching. He is the owner of Method Audio, a broadcast and event-audio firm.
