Biography

Matthew DeMaria is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Cybersecurity for the Information Systems and Analytics Department. He previously served as Program Coordinator for Cybersecurity at Penn State Shenango, where he built a state-of-the-art lab and was recognized as a Penn State Global Learning Fellow. Matthew DeMaria is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Cybersecurity for the Information Systems and Analytics Department. He previously served as Program Coordinator for Cybersecurity at Penn State Shenango, where he built a state-of-the-art lab and was recognized as a Penn State Global Learning Fellow. Matthew was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Cybersecurity Center, where he developed programs to engage students and displaced workers and stimulate the regional economy. He has collaborated on standardizing higher education cybersecurity curricula with guidance from the FBI, NW3C, NASA, and NOAA, bringing a blend of academic and industry expertise to prepare students for real-world cybersecurity challenges.
