Biography
Since joining the English Department in 2006, Dr. Patricia Gaitely, a native of the UK, has taught both graduate and undergraduate courses on literature and folklore. Currently writing a book on the fiction of James Lee Burke, in 2014 she delivered the first talk in the English Department’s Community Dialogue Speaker Series: "There's a Whole Lot of Snaking Going On: Folklore, Serpent Handling, and Appalachian Life."
