Biography

Patrick R. Geho is a faculty member in the Jennings A. Jones College of Business, Department of Management at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He is also on assignment to the President’s Division, serving as a Cabinet member and as state executive director of MTSU’s Tennessee Small Business Development Center network (TSBDC). Patrick R. Geho is a faculty member in the Jennings A. Jones College of Business, Department of Management at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He is also on assignment to the President’s Division, serving as a Cabinet member and as state executive director of MTSU’s Tennessee Small Business Development Center network (TSBDC). The TSBDC consists of 20 office locations across the state providing technical assistance and training to the business community. In his position with the TSBDC he has managed over $50,000,000.00 in university, state and federal programs under various economic development contracts. His research has been published in a number of entrepreneurship journals. Dr. Geho along with others, assisted with the development of the entrepreneurship major by contributing a justification proposal to the Tennessee Board of Regents. He teaches the capstone course in the entrepreneurship major.  

Dr. Geho’s J.D. was earned at the Nashville School of Law and his undergraduate degree at Saint Leo University. Additional graduate studies pursued at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and Tennessee Technological University. Prior to coming to MTSU, Dr. Geho was co-owner of SCIC, Inc. a tier II automotive subassembly and metals coatings manufacturing plant serving Dana Corporation, Chrysler, General Motors, Mercedes, Nissan, and Toyota. As CEO of the firm he grew the plant population to over 130 employees. He was also co-founder of Consolidated Investors, Inc. a firm specializing in the development of commercial and industrial properties. As an entrepreneur Dr. Geho was recognized by the White House for his business development activities. In 1995 he was named a Presidential Delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. He also serves as an officer on several statutory economic development boards.
