I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in 2008, and in 2016, I finished my Ph.D. at The University of Alabama. My career in the Sociology and Anthropology Department at MTSU began in the fall of 2016. I teach a variety of classes including Anthropological Research Methods, World Prehistory, Southeastern U.S. Archaeology, and The Archaeology of Salt. The latter course examines how salt was (and is) made, traded, and used by societies throughout the world. Every summer, I also direct the university's local summer archaeological field school and laboratory analysis class.
