Biography

Dr. Ronda G. Henderson is an associate professor in the Department of Marketing at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). She earned her Ph.D. from Virginia Tech, her M.S. from UNC-Greensboro, and her B.S. from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (NC A&T) State University. Dr. Ronda G. Henderson is an associate professor in the Department of Marketing at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). She earned her Ph.D. from Virginia Tech, her M.S. from UNC-Greensboro, and her B.S. from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (NC A&T) State University. She also earned a postdoctoral certificate from the University of Florida in the areas of digital marketing and management. Prior to her appointment at MTSU, Dr. Henderson taught high school, middle school, and spent several years as a full-time business instructor at her alma mater, NC A&T State University in Greensboro, NC.

At MTSU, Dr. Henderson teaches a variety of courses such Principles of Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Introduction to Business. An avid proponent of e-learning and classroom technology integration, Ronda was awarded the MTSU Distinguished Educator in Distance Learning award and is a certified online instructor. Because of her continued use of technology in her classes, Ronda was selected as the first College of Business (COB) professor to spearhead the COB iPad Initiative Pilot Project where her business students were equipped with iPads to investigate student perceptions and best practices regarding this use of technology in the classroom. Shortly after, Ronda was awarded the MTSU Outstanding Achievement in Instructional Technology Award and received the MTSU Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology as well as the Teaching and Learning Award at the International Conference on Teaching and Learning in Ponte Verde, Florida.

Nationally known for her research activities, Dr. Henderson has authored/co-authored dozens of publications and over 70 professional presentations at the local, state, and national levels for publications such as the Journal of Product & Brand Management, Atlantic Marketing Journal, Business Education Forum, and the Journal of Research in Business Education. Additionally, she serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Research in Business Education and regularly serves as a reviewer for the Marketing Education Review and the Atlantic Marketing Association.
