Biography
Dr. Rubie Ghazal serves as Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary Programs and Initiative in the College of Liberal Arts. Read More »Dr. Rubie Ghazal serves as Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary Programs and Initiative in the College of Liberal Arts. She previously served as the Associate Vice Provost for International Affairs at Middle Tennessee State University, bringing over 20 years of leadership in capacity building for higher education institutions, faculty and staff development, and strategic policy and procedures review. As a seasoned global educator, Dr. Ghazal has built impactful programs that enhance institutional and student success and drive operational efficiency in international education. Dr. Ghazal’s teaching portfolio includes courses in Graduate Research Writing and Data Analysis, Program and Policy Evaluation, Middle Eastern Identity, Grant Writing for Community Development, Business Communication among others reflecting her commitment to cultivating critical skills for students and educators. Her research and work emphasize fostering intercultural understanding and advancing professional development for educators and administrators to be more efficient and student centered. She secured funding and managed grants from the U.S. Department of State, Ford Foundation, Fulbright, Citigroup International, the American Embassy in Cairo, GlaxoSmithKline, and the Boeing Company, among others.
