Dr. Samantha Koprowski recently joined the Department of Political and Global Affairs in Fall 2026 after earning her PhD in Political Science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Dr. Samantha Koprowski recently joined the Department of Political and Global Affairs in Fall 2026 after earning her PhD in Political Science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Her research agenda is broadly focused on the relationship between elite identity, public opinion, and campaign strategy. Specifically, her dissertation examines whether and how candidate race and gender interact with perceptions about campaign fundraising to inform candidate evaluations and the implications these perceptions have for women's financial campaign strategies. Dr. Koprowski has publications in the Journal of Women, Politics & Policy and Mobilization: An International Quarterly. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.
