Biography

Professor Kalison has been working in the field as an animator since 2009. He spent the first several years of his career as a freelancer, working on animated projects for various political candidates, HP, J&J, The Philadelphia Eagles and more. He spent several years working in the studio system for such studios as Floyd County Productions and Shadowmachine. Scott bounced between departments on the various productions he has contributed to. Professor Kalison has been working in the field as an animator since 2009. He spent the first several years of his career as a freelancer, working on animated projects for various political candidates, HP, J&J, The Philadelphia Eagles and more. He spent several years working in the studio system for such studios as Floyd County Productions and Shadowmachine. Scott bounced between departments on the various productions he has contributed to. He specialized in 2D animation and 2D rigging, but has also worked in the compositing department, character/prop design and lighting. At smaller studios he has also worked as a storyboarder, background artist, director and voice actor. He has worked on such major productions as Marvel's Hit-Monkey (available on Hulu), Dicktown (aired on FXX and currently streaming on Hulu), Little Demon (aired on FXX) and America: The Motion Picture (currently streaming on Netflix)

Research / Scholarly Activity

Scott's original thesis for his Master's degree was about the use of anti-heroic tropes in adult animation.

Creative Activity

Professor Kalison has produced numerous animated shorts on his own throughout his career. He has also created several pitches for adult animated television shows.

In the Media

Scott has worked on projects which have aired on a variety of different platforms. He has worked on Marvel's Hit-Monkey for Hulu, Dicktown and Little Demon for both FXX and Hulu as well as America: The Motion Picture for Netflix. His work has also appeared on several different animation platforms. In 2025 he produced an animated short for Omaha Productions which aired on ESPN.
