Biography
As Research Professor for the Center for Historic Preservation, I work with communities across the state to assess, interpret, and promote their heritage resources. I also serve as Project Coordinator for Teaching with Primary Sources - MTSU, an educational outreach program of the Library of Congress, which provides professional development to educators with the purpose of engaging students in critical thinking through the use of primary sources. Read More »As Research Professor for the Center for Historic Preservation, I work with communities across the state to assess, interpret, and promote their heritage resources. I also serve as Project Coordinator for Teaching with Primary Sources - MTSU, an educational outreach program of the Library of Congress, which provides professional development to educators with the purpose of engaging students in critical thinking through the use of primary sources. As an Associate Professor in the History Department, I teach upper-division and graduate courses once or twice a semester, lead study abroad courses in international historic preservation, and work with graduate students in the Public History program.
