Biography
Dr. Sherman teaches courses on Introduction to Literature, Medieval Literature, European literature to 1400, Introduction to Shakespeare, Tolkien and Rowling, the Inklings, British Literature to 1660, and the history of the English language. He served as an assistant textual editor for the Variorum Edition of the Poetry of John Donne (Indiana UP) from 1993-2006 and is the former editor (2000-2006) of Mythlore: A Journal of J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Charles Williams, and Mythopoeic Literature, a publication of the The Mythopoeic Society.
